Woodhaven Retirement Community Foundation, Inc. was founded in 2008 to help individuals honor the elderly through the ministry and work of Woodhaven Retirement Community in Livonia, MI. The Foundation does this in two specific ways:
- Supporting Charity Care - by using the Fund's assets to generate income which can be used to provide long-term care for individuals who are not able to pay for it themselves while at Woodhaven Retirement Community. This is a literal application of "visiting the fatherless and widows in their affliction" (James 1:27).
- Contingency Funding - providing an asset base which can be used to offset future threats to the current funding sources for Woodhaven Retirement Community.
The Woodhaven Foundation is a not intended to supersede current fundraising efforts undertaken by Woodhaven Retirement Community for facilities and operations.
Our team is made up entirely of volunteers.
That is why we are especially grateful to find donors who share our commitment to honoring the elderly in our community.
